Hyundai Scores Highest Customer Loyalty Rankings in the Auto Industry
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 10/28/2010
Hyundai’s brand momentum continued its upward trajectory, earning the No. 6 ranking on the 2010 Customer Loyalty Leaders list which showcases the results of an annual survey by Brand Keys, a New York-based brand, customer loyalty and engagement consultancy. Hyundai is one of only two car brands in the top 50 and is also the highest ranked brand in the automotive category in this year’s report.
This year's Brand Keys Loyalty Leaders List includes 501 brands in 70 categories. In 2008, Hyundai was ranked 295th and has since moved up significantly to No. 24 last year and now No. 6 in 2010.
“Hyundai’s increase in loyalty is largely due to significant increases in product quality, success of its new higher-end models, and the ongoing halo effect from its innovative and emotionally resonating buy-back campaign,” said Robert Passikoff, Brand Keys founder and president.
Hyundai’s ongoing success is largely attributed to the positive reception of the newly redesigned Sonata and Tucson models, both of which have seen significant consumer interest since the beginning of 2010.
“Our commitment to building high-quality new models is matched with Hyundai Assurance, the industry’s most comprehensive consumer protection plan, to ensure our owners that we are partners in their vehicle purchase,” said Trea Reedy, national manager, dealer marketing and resource management, Hyundai Motor America. “We are completely committed to our customers with our buyer protection program, five years of roadside assistance, and our industry-leading, 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. With our strong new vehicle lineup, we are continuing to attract and excite both new and returning customers.”
Brands joining Hyundai in the 2010 Top 10 list include: Apple iPhone, Samsung, Wal-Mart, Grey Goose vodka, Apple Computers, Amazon, J. Crew, Blackberry, and Avis. For the complete list of 2010 rankings, visit http://www.brandkeys.com/awards/leaders_10.cfm.
